Trump A True American of "Old America"

Trump being elected for president proves what we who are labeled as "minorities" knew all along. America was at one time a racist country and part of it still is. Sure, not all white people in America are racist. There are plenty of white Americans who find our now President Donald Trump sickening. However it will be assumed that you are racist if you voted for him and an equal assumption of those who made the final decision to put him in office. He may have won the electoral vote  but the presidency did not have to go to Trump.  Educate yourself on who makes the electoral vote and how all that plays into the presidency.

A lot of Americans are upset, terrified, and confused on how he won with all those terrible things said and those hateful promises he made to divide us all. Especially when America was setting an image of/and seeking constant togetherness and prosperity from our citizens as well as from others around the world. Instead of being angry lets accept the fact that he won, but not accept his words as fact and move on to making a plan. Obviously there are those in high and low places who agree with him or he wouldn't have won. Trump being elected for president proves that America was acting like they cared during the civil war, the civil rights movement, and now the black lives matter movement. Like the saying goes "all acts must come to an end". It seems right now that "old America" have been waiting for someone who's like minded to tell it how they all still feel and just so happen that person is Donald Trump. Ask ourselves this, What do we do know about him?

He has no political history at all. He managed to take the polls and is now being accused of having false votes. He got people to rally behind him and gave America a fresh breath of bigotry. He makes promises and don't follow through on them or he'll find a loophole to make laws not apply to him. Within the first few days of his presidency he has signed almost everything he can to undo anything Obama and previous presidents have done to protect us and make life easy as Americans.  We are taking a step back on the very politics that shaped this country to be one of the greatest places to live. We can try to have him impeached, but on what reasons? He made it into office with a vile campaign. I doubt there will be grounds to get him out. Lets focus on things we can do and "really" change. He is an American as you and I and his comments are his own personal opinion that he has a right to give even if we don't like it. That doesn't mean his words about us hold fact. It becomes fact when we weaken and believe in him. I know he is just as hard to look at as he is to listen to but we must not ignore his presidency.

I'm not saying don't protest. I agree with the majority about his shameless plans and expectations giving unsettling feelings to the very people who made this country great but boycotting is not the answer. There are more productive ways to protest. Ask ourselves this, What can we do?
  1. Get involved in your community and schools.
  2. Use your voice to rally and start a petition.
  3. Run for your local government office.
  4. Give to charities that promote causes where you want to see change.
  5. Call and write your local congressmen.
  6. Paying attention to laws that change and being up to date on his current political affairs is going to be a habit to form over the next 4 years.
Under no circumstance should we act out in violence. Ask yourself this. How will we know what to do to protect ourselves as American citizens if we keep up with boycotting and ignore him when he's speaking to the nation? How big will our numbers be for change if we are killed in riots and refuse to educate ourselves or acknowledge laws that he change? How far will our change or the message of needing change reach if we are incarcerated from our children's lives. Its about proper action. Where do we start?

With ourselves because it doesn't have to be the end with President Donald Trump. If a real estate,  business man, and T.V personality can become president, then a people loving doctor, lawyer, baseball player etc.. can too.
