It's no secret std's exist and with the world being so free now it's never to late to be updated on the changes in the sexually transmitted world. There are four new std's on the rise reported by CNN and the CDC. The spread is being attributed to gay, bisexual, and the adolescence in Europe, Canada, and the United States. Being that the bisexual community is affected mean that heterosexual women are in danger of this spread as well. Which give urgency to bring awareness to this issue.
Condoms can only do so much. Us as individuals need to be more clean. After researching the information I can see that we have to discuss this if we want to stop it from becoming a serious public health threat. Simple solutions could help.
cleanliness and the other would be willpower. If you are sick at any stage with a contagious bacterial or viral infection don't engage in sexual conduct at all. The same thing goes if someone is sick don't let them kiss you or receive oral sex. This is when willpower comes into play. It's hard to fight temptation but safety is a must and the risk is high. Remember everyone doesn't disclose their sexual preference or secrets. Testing is available so don't assume. Just say no until the sniffles is gone and WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

- Neisseria Meningitidis- A contagious bacteria that lives in the mucous membrane of humans as a parasite. Since adults can carry this in the back of their nose and throat it is being passed on by deep kissing, oral sex, and any close contact of infected bodily fluids. It can cause invasive meningitis. A deadly infection of the brain and spinal cord's protective membranes. It is also one of the causes of urogenital infections. A non-sexual transmitted infection but self-inflicted like a UTI.
- Mycoplasma genitalium- Common in young adults. It is often symptom-free but can mimic chlamydia or gonorrhea. If untreated can lead to PID, miscarriage, infertility, premature or stillbirth. Able to be treated with the same medicine however it is growing resistant to the vaccine. There is a fear that because it is growing stronger eventually the medicine will not work and there is research still being done.
- Shigella flexneri- Also known as Shigellosis. Passed on by direct and indirect contact with human feces. You will have severe cramps and explosive diarrhea that is filled with blood and mucus. Also commonly spread in young kids and travelers. This std could become harder to cure as well. It too is growing stronger than its vaccine which is used also to treat gonorrhea. There has been a new outbreak through anal-oral sex and some doctors are refusing to treat with vaccine and instead letting Shigellosis takes its short toll on the body.
- Lymphogranuloma Venereum- Also known as LGV is caused by a type of chlamydia. You may see a pimple, blister, or an ulcer on your genital area at first. Then it will attack your lymphatic system. It may also spread to the butt area causing issues like IBD, fistulas, and strictures. LGV treatments can take up to a possible 3 weeks of antibiotics to cure.
